After a two-year renovation period, the International Newspaper Museum (IZM) in Aachen reopened on July 9, 2011. Exhibition topics include the development and future of mass media, and the history of writing and typography. In the permanent exhibition, which has been completely re-conceptualized in terms of content, inSynergie products enable visitors to interact with the exhibits. A special highlight is an installation in the form of an oversized egg, inside which visitors can experience sensory overload from modern media firsthand. Here, inSynergie synchronizes screens whose content visitors can influence themselves. The inSynergie software thus succeeds in directly integrating museum visitors into the experience.
