The Klimahaus is a globally unique center of knowledge and interactive experiences focused on climate, climate change, and weather, and serves as a global pioneer in climate education. An elaborate indoor ride titled “Weather Extremes” has been built in a new exhibition area of the Klimahaus. The central element is a rotating platform that moves vertically across several floors, transporting seated visitors through the various themed areas. There, they experience extreme weather phenomena vividly and directly through a show featuring stage sets, special effects, and films. In the separate “Weather Show” area, equipped with various monitors, visitors can independently learn about the weather or watch a hosted weather show. For the “Weather Extremes” area, inSynergie installed a wide range of devices and programmed the media control system for them: PCs, tablets, (touch) monitors, speakers, amplifiers, microphones, audio stations, switches, LED tickers, LED tiles / LED walls, digital signage players, projectors, 360° projection, and capacitive floor surfaces.‍

With a total length of approximately 2000 meters, it is considered Thuringia's longest cave and was discovered in 1799 during the construction of the road to Altenstein Castle. By spring 1802, a 280-meter section had been developed as Thuringia's oldest show cave.
