This was a temporary exhibition running for 6 months. It focused on the textile legacy of Arno and Alice Schmidt, including pieces from the 1930s and the war and post-war periods. Such an extensive collection of a couple's clothing, ranging from early petit bourgeois attire, through impoverished refugee clothing, to typical pieces from the 60s and 70s from mail-order catalogs, is extremely rare.
The exhibition took place from December 3, 2021, to June 7, 2022, at the Bomann Museum for Lower Saxon Ethnology, State and Urban History in Celle.
