The major state exhibition at the APX (Archäologie Park Xanten) is dedicated to Rome's fluid borders. In the new Limes Pavilion, everything revolves around the Limes from North Africa to England, allowing for an individual exploration of antiquity at interactive stations featuring media technology by inSynergie. Models, informational films, and replicas of ancient originals offer deeper insights into ancient daily life along the Limes, as well as into the fascinating investigative work of modern science.
The centerpiece of the pavilion is a walk-through Limes, showcasing the Lower Rhine with its legionary camps and forts, as well as the settlements and cult sites on both sides of the Rhine.
