The House of History of the Federal Republic of Germany on the Museum Mile in Bonn is one of the most visited museums in Germany. The permanent exhibition at the House of History presents Germany's recent past from the end of World War II to the present day. Across 4,000 m², over 7,000 exhibits and 150 media stations illustrate contemporary German history in an international context. The museum places particular emphasis on visitor orientation and a vivid presentation of historical events. Under the motto "Experience History," the concept is to stage historical objects and thus bring them to life for visitors. This is also achieved through the use of historical film and audio documents.
